Clinical Affairs Evaluation of a 16-Patient Study Using DryMax Extra™ in 4 Leg Ulcer Clinics
Super absorbent dressings are often used as a management strategy for venous leg ulcerations to help control exudate. This study randomized 16 patients into 2 groups to compare a new super absorbent dressing. Patients and clinicians were given questionnaires throughout the study that evaluated clinical and quality of life measures. The study found that patients that were given the DryMax Extra experienced less pain and required fewer dressing changes, with 89% of clinicians reporting the DryMax Extra dressing as being better or much better than the standard treatment. The study showed the DryMax Extra super absorbent dressing to be superior to the standard treatment.
